Last places available for diabetes GIRFT webinar

The impact of improving perioperative pathways for people with diabetes will be the subject of a webinar taking place next week.

GIRFT Joint Clinical Lead Professor Gerry Rayman and GIRFT Workstream Delivery Manager Emma Page will be delivering the online session on Wednesday, August 30, between 12pm and 1pm.

Kim Howson, Diabetes Perioperative Specialist Nurse, and Dr Catherine Robinson, Anaesthesia Lead for Perioperative Diabetes, will also be speaking during the webinar.

They will be discussing how you can benefit from GIRFT’s Improving the Perioperative Pathways of People with Diabetes (IP3D) programme.

According to prior research, the IP3D programme has clearly demonstrated improvements in inpatient safety, with fewer complications, lower length of stay and a better overall experience for people living with diabetes, as well as healthcare professionals caring for those with the condition.
