Hands-on training opportunity in Birmingham
Healthcare professionals are invited to sharpen their clinical decision-making skills at SIMBA Diabetes 2025 – a unique simulation-based training event taking place on 29 and 30 May 2025 at Edgbaston Park Hotel, Birmingham.
This immersive, interactive training course is designed to reflect real-world diabetes care, combining complex clinical scenarios with live expert feedback. Delivered over two days, the sessions offer practical experience in managing some of the most challenging cases in diabetes care.
Participants will work through advanced simulations covering topics including:
Type 1 diabetes with coexisting eating disorders
Immunotherapy-associated diabetes
Simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplant (SPK)
The course goes beyond clinical knowledge, focusing on holistic, personalised care by tackling social determinants of health, multimorbidity and health inequalities.
Attendees will leave with more than just theoretical knowledge – SIMBA provides competency sign-offs, individualised training plans and guidance on clinical placements to support continuing development.
SIMBA 2025 is designed for inclusivity and accessibility, with places starting from just £100 for doctors and £50 for nurses. A limited number of free places are also available for those who need financial support.
Although there is an online option, organisers strongly recommend attending in person for a more focused learning experience – complete with supportive networking, engaging discussion and quality catering included in your registration.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is essential.
